Week 3: January 25, 2022
This week we learned how to screen record a tutorial, edit it in iMovie, and get it ready to be posted to our blogs. I knew how to screenshot from my laptop before but had never tried recording my screen. It was really neat how it was able to record our movements on the screen, while also picking up our voice over of the step-by-step instructions. This will serve me well if school ever goes online while I am a teacher, or there are specific directions that I wish to post online without having to leave a vague written list for students, teachers or parents to decipher themselves. I had also never worked with iMovie before and it seemed to be a great way to edit videos together in a relatively smooth manor. I’m looking forward to playing around with this some more and seeing what other effects and edits I can try with my screen recorded videos.
